I'm Ruth Culley, the artist behind Aline Art & Intuitive Drawing.

Art is my language — a way of feeling, sensing, and understanding. Although I’ve always been drawn to creativity, I only began exploring art seriously around 2015 and completed a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2021.

What started as a curiosity and an exploration of different techniques and mediums eventually became a kind of soul-mapping: a visual practice of presence, healing, and remembrance.

I grew up at Jenolan Caves, surrounded by limestone, stillness, and the hush of ancient stone. My childhood gifted me a deep connection to nature — something that still infuses my work with an earthy spirituality and reverence for the unseen. I now live in Bathurst, where I continue to draw intuitively, letting shapes and symbols reveal themselves without a set plan.

Each drawing is a kind of meditation — on shadow and light, on feeling and flow, on the mystery within and around us.
